MyOptique Group and Glasses Direct supported Orbis, with both financial and glasses contributions from 2009 to 2016, donating over £13,000 during that time.

The group’s most recent fundraising initiative saw jewellery designer Nicholas King team up with their eyewear brand London Retro to produce a limited edition range of statement eyewear. The range, available as glasses and sunglasses, was sold in aid of Orbis, and the promotion raised over £3,500 for the charity.

As a jeweller and designer it is always wonderful when someone gives you the opportunity to learn something new, and the challenge of whittling down my collection and choosing iconic themes, and then translating them into eye wear was one I took on with relish and abandon. I have been so excited to have teamed up with London Retro to launch this capsule collection, especially as money raised goes to aid Orbis, an amazing charity helping people all over the world access specialist eye care, where they otherwise wouldn’t.
